Dylan Lee

Dylan Lee has been praised for his poetic and engaging performances He completed his Master’s studies with Professor Julius Berger at the Leopold Mozart Zentrum in Augsburg and his Bachelor studies from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in Singapore, where he studied under full scholarship with Ng Pei-Sian. Before returning to Kuala Lumpur, he was based in Basel, Switzerland, where he studied in the School of Excellence postgraduate programme at the Musik-Akademie Basel under Danjulo Ishizaka.

Dylan now performs regularly in the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas as a member of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO). Most recently, Dylan performed as soloist with them in Tan Dun’s Crouching Tiger Concerto. Previously, Dylan performed the Schumann Cello Concerto with the Uzbekistan State Symphony Orchestra as the Grand Prize winner of the Global Music Partnership Concerto Competition. He also won 1st prize in the 2019 Andreas Stein Wettbewerb. Previous highlights include performing the 2024 edition of Asiago Festival  and collaborating with Christian Altenburger in a Meißterkonzert at the 2019 Mozarteum Summer Academy. In the world of contemporary music, Dylan has premiered chamber music works by young composers from the Asia Pacific region, performing in Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong as a founding member of the contemporary music quintet, Ensemble GO.
