The Euroasia Strings Competition (ESC) welcomes participants of all nationalities, and is open for three solo categories – the Solo – Young Artiste, Solo – Young Artiste Junior, and Solo – Open Category; and the Ensemble Category.
All categories have two rounds: Preliminary Round and Final Round. For the Preliminary Round, participants can choose to perform live, at any one of the local or international regional rounds, or to submit a video recording for online assessment.
The Young Artiste Categories aspires to identify and discover the next generation of artistes who demonstrates exceptional talent and artistry in their performance while the Open Category aims to celebrate music achievement at all levels by allowing non-professional performers of all levels and ages to participate.
The Ensemble Category seeks to provide young musicians with an opportunity to accelerate their artistic growth and to excel in their chamber musical skills by collaborating and performing together with fellow musicians in an ensemble.
Where applicable, the participant’s Age Group is determined by the year of birth, regardless of month.
Prizes are awarded based on a point system.
Please take note of the competition’s rules and regulations, and terms and conditions.
