Note from the Head of Jury, Dr Andrew Filmer
“Competitions at their best don’t simply pick winners — they bring more people to the table. In the spirit of encouraging competition each year, the Young Artiste who emerges at the top of any one year is restricted from participation in the same category in future years — and is encouraged instead to cheer on each new batch of competitors. Note that on the occasion there is shared first place, only the competitor who has also won the Patron Prize has this restriction.”
