Jessica is a professional violinist with a persuasive portfolio career combining performing, teaching, seminar presenting, mentoring string teachers and writing violin tutor books.
Passionate about music education, she is Head of Strings at a London Independent School, string consultant and examiner for ABRSM and regularly presents seminars to teachers in the UK and Asia.
She recently co-authored the beginner string method series Basics with Paul Harris which takes students from Day 1 to Grade 1. Her Best of Grade collection of exam pieces (1-5) and 80 Graded studies (1-5 and 6-8) are also published by Faber.
She is Principal 2nd violin with the chamber ensemble OSJ, regularly plays with the Royal Opera House and was a member of the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields for over 20 years. She has performed in a variety of venues including Carnegie and Wigmore Halls, Sydney and Royal Opera Houses as well as pop arenas in London and Dubai.
She gained a post-graduate scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music with the Amadeus string quartet and holds an ARAM in recognition of her services to music.
